Perpustakaan Raja Zarith Sofiah (PRZS) is the newest branch of University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Library. It is a designated research library for the university. It is located at the southwest of UTM about 1 km away from Senai entrance and 3 km away from the main entrance. The library is named after the 4th UTM Chancellor and was officially launched on 30 September 2014.<\/p>\n

There are four (4) levels in the library and each level has a different theme. The library is designed to facilitate students with their studies and research, as well as to provide conducive and bright environment. In 1972, Institut Teknologi Kebangsaan was established and the Library became the Library of Institute Teknologi Kebangsaan. The Library first started with a collection of 15,000 titles of books and 80 journal titles. The initial collection consisted of 15,000 titles and 80 periodicals inherited from Maktab Teknik. In April 1976, The Institute was upgraded and known as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The Library building was renovated and space area was extended to 20,449 sq. feet.
The Library area was extended to 23,781 sq feet by taking over the Finance Office which had move to its new building. Seating capacity was only for 300 readers only. In April 1983, the new 4 storey Library building was completed with an area of 965,650 sq feet it was able to accommodate 1,000 readers.
In May 1985, some of the Library collection particularly in the fields of Architecture were moved to the branch Library in Skudai. This is the initial phase of moving the collection to the newly built main Library in UTM Skudai. By December 1988, most of the Library collections are relocated at the Main Library and the Library in UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus became the branch Library. To date, the Library is servicing some 5,000 users comprising of mostly Diploma students.
The number of collections in UTMKL is approximately 106,000 of printed and non-printed related with engineering, technology and social science field. Currently, the library users are Postgraduate from Azman Hashim International Business School, Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), as well as Undergraduate students of UTMSPACE (The School for Professional and Continuing Education). There are also two libraries branches in UTMKL located at Razak Tower Building and MJIIT building. UTM-Pagoh Library located in Pagoh Education Hub, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Innovation Centre in Agritechnology for Advanced Bioprocessing (UTM-ICA) started its operation on May 2017. UTM Pagoh Library supports the research and innovation activities in the fields of interest to UTM-ICA. UTM-ICA has the capacity to accommodate 200 postgraduate research students specialized in research and innovation focused on advanced bioprocessing, biorefinary and biotic farming. MJIIT Library was officially opened to public on 10th June 2013 and consist of 300 volumes of books and audio visual materials. The number of collections in MJIIT Library is gradually growing and currently it has approximately of 1500 materials consists of monograph and electronic sources<\/p>\n

MJIIT Library is considered unique if compared to other libraries because most of its materials are related to Japanese technology, management and culture. All the books specifically related with courses thought in MJIIT for both undergraduates and postgraduates. Perpustakaan Raja Zarith Sofiah (PRZS) is the newest branch of University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Library. It is a designated research library for the university. It is located at the southwest of UTM about 1 km away from Senai entrance and 3 km away from the main entrance. The library is named after the 4th UTM Chancellor and was officially launched on 30 September 2014.<\/p>\r\n

There are four (4) levels in the library and each level has a different theme. The library is designed to facilitate students with their studies and research, as well as to provide conducive and bright environment. Additionally, PRZS has seating capacity of 2000 of users at a time, and a physical collection of 500,000 printed and electronic materials to support world class teaching, learning, research, consultancy and publication.<\/p>\r\n

\"sep_02\"\r\nIn 1972, Institut Teknologi Kebangsaan was established and the Library became the Library of Institute Teknologi Kebangsaan. The Library first started with a collection of 15,000 titles of books and 80 journal titles. The initial collection consisted of 15,000 titles and 80 periodicals inherited from Maktab Teknik. In April 1976, The Institute was upgraded and known as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The Library building was renovated and space area was extended to 20,449 sq. feet.\r\nThe Library<\/a> area was extended to 23,781 sq feet by taking over the Finance Office which had move to its new building. Seating capacity was only for 300 readers only. In April 1983, the new 4 storey Library building was completed with an area of 965,650 sq feet it was able to accommodate 1,000 readers.<\/p>\r\n

In May 1985, some of the Library collection particularly in the fields of Architecture were moved to the branch Library in Skudai. This is the initial phase of moving the collection to the newly built main Library in UTM Skudai. By December 1988, most of the Library collections are relocated at the Main Library and the Library in UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus became the branch Library. To date, the Library is servicing some 5,000 users comprising of mostly Diploma students<\/p>\r\n

The number of collections in UTMKL is approximately 96000 of printed and non printed related with engineering , technology and social science field. Currently, the library is servicing users mainly from Postgraduate from variety of school in UMTKL comprising of Perdana School, International Business School, Razak School, MJIIT and few of the undergraduate students including UTM Space. There are also two libraries branches in UTMKL located at Razak Tower Building and MJIIT building. The two library branches specialized on the core business of each faculty.[\/su_spoiler]<\/p>\r\n

\"sep_07\"\r\nMenara Razak Library is a specialized library focusing on UTM Razak School's core business activities and postgraduate programmes. The major collections are on Business, Management, Marketing, Manufacturing and Constructions. The library also provide special collections on Ocean Thermal Energy in fullfilling the needs of Menara Razak community that are come from various field of studies.<\/p>\r\n

The library is located at Ground Floor Razak Tower that have a total number of 7500 collections consist of monographs and electronic resources. All UTM Postrgraduate students in UTM Kuala Lumpur are eligible for Menara Razak Library Membership.[\/su_spoiler]<\/p>\r\n

\"sep_04\"\r\nMJIIT Library was officially opened to public on 10th June 2013 and consist of 300 volumes of books and audio visual materials. The number of collections in MJIIT Library is gradually growing and currently it has approximately of 1500 materials consists of monograph and electronic sources<\/p>\r\n

MJIIT Library is considered unique if compared to other libraries because most of its materials are related to Japanese technology, management and culture. All the books specifically related with courses thought in MJIIT for both undergraduates and postgraduates. Users will also find collections of materials in Japanese language as the students of MJIIT are obligated to learn Japanese to prepare them prior to their studies or training in Japan .[\/su_spoiler]<\/p>\r\n

UTM-Pagoh Library located in Pagoh Education Hub, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Innovation Centre in Agritechnology for Advanced Bioprocessing (UTM-ICA) started its operation on May 2017. UTM Pagoh Library supports the research and innovation activities in the fields of interest to UTM-ICA. UTM-ICA has the capacity to accommodate 200 postgraduate research students specialized in research and innovation focused on advanced bioprocessing, biorefinary and biotic farming. UTM Pagoh Library is responsible to carry out teaching class, consultation service and publication for postgraduate students, lecturers and researchers.[\/su_spoiler]<\/p>\r\n
