Research Canvas Competition is a multidisciplinary competition that invites participants to share their research and ideas through inspirational designs, illustrations, and graphic elements. The goal of the canvas is that; it can be easily understood by all walks of life just by looking at the canvas without any presenter being present. The canvas can be created with the help of graphics tools.<\/p>\n<p>This year we would love the participants to share their research and ideas relating to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0at least two (2) of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in their canvas. At its heart, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are an urgent call for action by all countries \u2013 developed and developing \u2013 in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth \u2013 all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0include in the canvas at least two (2) articles review from Springer Nature publication.<\/p>\n<p>TERMS AND CONDITIONS<br \/>\n1.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Participation is on an individual basis. Only one entry per person. Any individual submitting more than one entry will be disqualified.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Research Canvas Competition is a multidisciplinary competition that invites participants to share their research and ideas through inspirational designs, illustrations, and graphic elements.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The goal of the canvas is that; it can be easily understood by all walks of life just by looking at the canvas without any presenter being present.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The canvas can be created with the help of graphics tools.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Research Canvas MUST highlight:<br \/>\n&#8211; the key challenge(s) you are attempting to solve.<br \/>\n&#8211; the key message(s) of your research<br \/>\n&#8211; the proposed solutions\/findings of your research<br \/>\n&#8211; the relation of your research to at least two (2) of the 17 UNSDGs of your choice<br \/>\n&#8211; the relation of your research to at least two (2) articles review from Springer Nature publication.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Research Canvas MUST be concise and attractive with:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0short and interesting TITLE<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0effective use of graphics, colour and fonts<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0consistent and clean layout<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0clear and to the point text<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The canvas must be printed on B2 (50cm x 70.7cm) size poster.<br \/>\n8.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Submit your Research Canvas LATEST by 4.00pm, 27th August 2023 (Monday) to:<br \/>\nResearch Section<br \/>\nUTM Library (Perpustakaan Sultanah Zanariah Building)<br \/>\nUniversiti Teknologi Malaysia,<br \/>\n81310 Skudai, Johor<br \/>\n9.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Once submitted, the Research Canvas will be the property of the organiser and the organiser has the right to publish or reprint in all kinds of publication for promotion or others.<br \/>\n10.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0An independent panel of judges will evaluate the submissions based on the criteria below:<br \/>\n\u2022 ease of understanding and clarity of messages being portrayed by the overall research<br \/>\n\u2022 comparing the semantics of understanding with the original research description submitted is important<br \/>\n\u2022 the originality, creativity, and uniqueness of the design, as well as its ability to catch the eye, are important factors to consider.<br \/>\n11.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The judges\u2019 decisions are FINAL<\/p>\n<p>This year 30 Research Canvas made it to the final round and the The Research Canvas Competition 2023 winners are:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-19176 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/01\/Grand-Prize-210x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Prize winner will take home a complete set of Huawei Matebook D15 laptops, and the winner is NOR NISHA NADHIRA BINTI NAZIRUN from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-19177 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/01\/Second-Prize-214x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Second Prize winner will take home a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and the winner is WONG CHANG KOON from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-19178 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/01\/Third-Prize-219x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Third Prize winner will take home a 24-inch Philips Vline monitor, and the winner is NURUL IZZATI BINTI DARUL ZAMAN from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is the list of consolation prize winners:<\/p>\n<p>1.
