With a total of ten (10) sessions conducted throughout the month, the initiative reflects the continued commitment of UTM Library to strengthening students\u2019 academic and research capabilities in a practical and accessible way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">From effective information searching to structured research strategies and hands-on exposure to academic tools and databases, the webinars offered participants a well-rounded foundation for academic success. More than just informative, these sessions were crafted to inspire confidence and nurture independent learning \u2014 empowering students every step of the way.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29561\" src=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"904\" height=\"374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class1.png 904w, https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class1-480x199.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 904px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The User Education Program covers a range of essential topics, including:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Information searching skills \u2013 developing the ability to locate relevant and reliable information efficiently using appropriate tools and search techniques.<\/li>\n<li>UTM Massive Open Online Course (UTM MOOC) \u2013 highlighting the UTM Library Skills module, designed to enhance information literacy for both academic and research purposes among students and researchers.<\/li>\n<li>EndNote for students \u2013 introducing a powerful reference management tool that helps organise sources, manage citations, and ensure accurate formatting based on required citation styles.<\/li>\n<li>Turnitin for students \u2013 explaining how this text-matching tool supports assignment submission, checks for content similarity, and promotes academic integrity while improving writing quality.<\/li>\n<li>Where to publish? \u2013 guiding participants on how to identify and select reputable journals for publishing academic and research work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29563\" src=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"392\" srcset=\"https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class4.png 900w, https:\/\/library.utm.my\/utmlibrarynews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2026\/05\/class4-480x209.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 900px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The response was encouraging, with more than 1,800 participants joining the sessions online.
