UTM Library kicked off 2026 with two (2) impactful online programmes tailored for UTM SPACE students, reinforcing its commitment to supporting flexible and accessible learning. Held in January 2026, these sessions successfully attracted a total of 359 participants, reflecting strong engagement from students in enhancing their academic skills.
On 13 January 2026, the SkillUp: Turnitin for Students session drew an impressive 269 participants. Conducted online, the session guided students on how to use Turnitin effectively for assignment submission, understand similarity reports, and uphold academic integrity. The high participation demonstrates students’ growing awareness of the importance of producing original and quality academic work.
This was followed by the Introduction to Library Information Resources session on 15 January 2026, which saw 90 participants in attendance. The session introduced students to essential library resources, including online databases, digital collections, and effective search techniques to support their studies in a virtual learning environment.

Both sessions were delivered online, allowing UTM SPACE students and others to participate conveniently regardless of location. The interactive approach ensured that participants not only gained knowledge but also practical exposure to tools and resources essential for their academic journey.
These programmes mark a strong start to the year, as UTM Library continues to empower students with the skills needed to navigate information effectively, utilise digital resources confidently, and succeed in their studies.
