UTM Library successfully organised an online knowledge-sharing session titled “Exploring the New Emerald Platform” on 5 November 2025, attracting 55 participants comprising students, researchers, and academic staff. The one-hour session, held via Webex, aimed to introduce users to the enhanced features and improved research capabilities offered by the latest Emerald Publishing platform.

The session was delivered by Bernice Wong, Business Manager for East Asia at Emerald Publishing. She guided participants through the platform’s new interface, highlighting key updates such as refined search functions, improved content navigation, personalised user dashboards, and tools designed to support research discovery and academic writing. Participants were also shown how to efficiently access journals, books, case studies, and other academic resources available through UTM Library’s subscription.

During the demonstration, attendees had the opportunity to explore practical tips on utilising Emerald’s features for literature searches, citation tracking, and staying updated with relevant research trends. The interactive Q&A segment enabled participants to clarify queries and gain a deeper understanding of how the upgraded platform supports their academic and research needs.

UTM Library extends its appreciation to all participants and invites the university community to join future training sessions aimed at enhancing digital literacy and research proficiency.
