25 October 2024 (Friday) – The UTM Library Research Week 2024 program was successfully organized from 20 to 24 October 2024. With our tagline ‘embracing digital transformation: empowering research excellence in the digital age, various engaging forums were arranged as part of this program, including:
- ‘Ngopi’ Sunday with the Research Section (20 October 2024)
- Clarivate Day (21 October 2024)
- Research Publication Forum (22 October 2024)
- Publication Talk with Publishers (22 & 23 October 2024)
- Engagement with Researchers Forum (23 October 2024)
- Knowledge Sharing Forum (24 October 2024)
For the opening, the event started with the ‘Ngopi’ Sunday with the Research Section slot. There were 40 students and lecturers attended this first session, which took place at the PSZ JB Open Gallery. Activities during this session included:
• Publication & Incentives in RADIS
• Indexed Journal Publication Status
• Maintaining & Curating Researchers’ Profiles in WOS & Scopus
• EndNote & Turnitin Consultations
• Registration for UTM Library User Education Program
On the second day, the program continued with Clarivate Day, featuring two (2) sessions:
- Strategic Insights: Boosting University Research and Reputation (9.00am – 10.30am)
- Innovating Academia: How AI and Clarivate Support Malaysian Researchers (2.30pm – 4.00pm)
Each session was presented by an expert from Clarivate itself. It was an honor for UTM Library to host this event physically, bringing in Mr. Pavel Kasyanov, a Bibliometrics Expert, and Dr. Ahmed Bourghidam, RMDS’s Chief Scientific Officer.
Overall, 477 participants joined the program throughout the five (5) days it was held. UTM Library expresses its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to library users who attended and supported the program, whether physically or virtually.
